The business was established in Cairns in 1996 as a sole trader entity and came under its current ownership in August 2006. Between 1996 and 2006, the business did little other than to provide its "hands-on" owner and 3 part-time employees with jobs.

Growth since August 2006 has been consistent and has been in excess of 100% per annum for each of the 4 years. This growth has been the result of:

• Competitive but realistic market level pricing
• Concentration on the quality of service delivery
• A managerial approach by its owner
• The development of a managerial infrastructure with the introduction of a Customer Service Manager early 2009 and the recent appointment of an Operations Manager

The business now has 20 employees, 8 of whom are full-time, and also provides work on a regular basis to 5 subcontractors.

Servicing in excess of 150 clients, Cairns Cleaning Contractors operates in almost every sector of the Cairns economy providing periodic cleaning services for:

• Child Care Centres
• Restaurants
• Shops
• Common Areas in Residential and Unit Developments
• Other Types of Premises
